Objetivo: Investigar a prevalência de comportamento alimentar inadequado e insatisfação com a imagem corporal entre universitários do curso de nutrição de uma universidade privada do sul do país. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo epidemiológico transversal, onde foram convidados todos os alunos matriculados no curso de graduação em nutrição da Universidade de Caxias do Sul. Foram coletados os dados através de questionários autoaplicáveis: Escala de Silhuetas Corporais, Body Shape Questionnarire (BSQ), Eating Attitudes Test (EAT). O índice de massa corporal foi calculado a partir das medidas de peso e estatura referidas. Resultados: Foram avaliados 130 alunos, 118 (90,8%) do sexo feminino e 12 (9,2%) do sexo masculino com a faixa etária de 21,5 (20,0 -26,0) anos. A partir da análise da escala de silhuetas corporais, verificou-se que 77 (59,2%) acadêmicos encontram-se insatisfeitos com a imagem corporal. A prevalência de preocupação com a imagem corporal foi de 12,3% segundo o BSQ. A prevalência de comportamentos alimentares inadequados foi de 16,2% segundo o EAT. Houve associação entre comportamento alimentar inadequado (EAT) e insatisfação da imagem corporal (BSQ) (p=0,003).  Conclusão: Houve prevalência de 12,3% de insatisfação corporal e de 16,2% de comportamento alimentar inadequado, com associação entre comportamento alimentar inadequado e imagem corporal entre os acadêmicos de nutrição. ABSTRACT Feeding behavior and body image in academics of nutrition of a private university in Caxias do SulObjective: To investigate the prevalence of inadequate eating behavior and dissatisfaction with body image among students of Nutrition from a private university in the south of Brazil.
