Breast cancer patients struggle with psychological trauma related to body image issues linked to the required treatment. Thus, minimally invasive treatment modalities, such as microwave ablation, have been gaining attention. Additionally, personalized pre-treatment simulations that allow assessing the cosmetic outcome of the ablation can help reduce associated trauma. The aim of this paper is to propose a framework to study the cosmetic outcome of the breast following microwave ablation. This framework can easily be adapted to reflect the future knowledge about the mechanical properties of breast tissues and their dependence on temperature.
