Description
The Maceira - Embaixadores d'Aldeia project, promoted by the Associação de Promoção Social, Recreativa, Desportiva e Humanitária de Maceira (APSRDHM), Fornos de Algodres-Guarda, Portugal, is a project aimed at combating out-migration and depopulation in the interior of the country, promoting active ageing, generational change and the collective participation of the village population, preserving cultural identity, heritage and tourism, while developing solid strategies to promote tourism and repopulation. One of the project's activities is Maceira Digital, which aims to use social media to promote the project as a whole. This article aims to present and describe this activity, Maceira Digital, in particular the main digital tasks carried out on the social networks Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, as well as the results obtained. The results have shown that a successful strategy on the digital channels can drive the project as a whole.
