| Resumo: | Relevant informations about the complex and well organized politico-administrative Roman system are done by honorific inscriptions. In fact, when give us the curriculum of the personalities honoured, these inscriptions show us unsuspected functions. This is the case of the procurator pontium the Roman eques charged of the security of the bridges. The inscription dedicated to Caius Caesius Silvester by his freedmen can be an interesting example |
