The evolution of Serra da Malcata “ Geomorphology study

Resumo:This study has as primary aim to present an analysis of the evolution from the relief in Serra da Malcata, especially when speaking in structural terms. This work’s presentation is mainly justified by the fact that this uplift analysisis still an omission in geomorphologic studies. Thus, we aimed to develop an explanation of the evolution from Serra da Malcata’s geomorphologic unit.We hope that this analysis presentation might promote a geomorphologic backing of Serra da Malcata’s evolution, seeking above all to mount important explanation elements of this particular relief, hoping that the data now being presented may be able to fill in, at present time, the existing hollow in the geomorphologic knowledge regarding Serra da Malcata.
