Climate urgency: challenges of its juridical operationalisation
| Resumo: | In the context of the explosion of symbolic declarations of climate emergency, in which the European Parliament's Declaration of Climate and Environmental Emergency is inserted, little or very little has been done to respond to the environmental crisis. In this sense, the present work, essentially exploratory and propositional, analyze the challenges of the juridical operationalization of environmental urgency, which begin with the juridical nature of its declarations, delve into democratic concerns and with the protection of fundamental rights, and are always permeated by the need for coordinated actions to enable effective responses to environmental emergency. |
