Resumo:This qualitative study was made over a time rage of 9 months, including two cycles, one of 8 weeks and one of 4 months, with the same sample. Participants, at the number of 9 for the first cycle and 8 for the second (one left), have all Autistic Spectrum Disorder, once a week a session of Meditation, constituted of Mindfulness exercises and mantras exercises was made in the centre were the sample was studying. Participants have 21.5 years old in average (4.37± SD) one is a women, the others are all man. The participants were all invited to practice at home the different exercises, when waking up and before to sleep, approximately 15 minutes. We notices by making qualitative interviews at the end of both cycles, with the participants, their families and staff members of the centre, that the one who had the better program addhesion, by practicing at home, they were five in total, were the ones more susceptible to obtain results, in stress and anxiety reduction, increase of concentration and better emotional control. From fieldnotes interviews, we observed a better class mood environment and by comparing our sample with a second one during the second cycle, we realized how the participants improved in the technicity of the practice and were not beginners at the end. We suppose that family interest in the practice had an impact on the addhesion on the participant program and by consequence on better results. For future studies it would be interesting to include families in an introductive program, which we suppose would encourage the participants to practice more at home.
