DEMOCRACIA CULTURAL E ARTE PARTICIPATIVA Jazz ao Centro Clube, uma Associação Fora dos Eixos
| Resumo: | This internship report is promoted and integrated into the Masters in Sociology atthe Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. It focuses on the experiencegained through the integration in the team of the non-profit association Jazz ao CentroClube. The main objective is to characterize the association, presenting the theoreticalpremises and their implementation on several projects that somehow relate to thereflections of this report.In this document, the focus is on one of the projects carried out by JACC, calledFora dos Eixos: Práticas Artísticas de Proximidade. The initial intention of this reporthad the main premise on the monitorization of the activities to be carried out by thisproject in 2022, however, due to scheduling reasons of several integral parts, it preventedthe activities from taking place in the period of this study, which would allow a moredetailed scientific analysis. However, the bond I established in 2021 with JACC allowedme to accompany the first edition of the project, to which I provide a detailed descriptionand characterization of the activities carried out, trying to relate the scientific perspectiveto the professional one.From a pragmatic perspective, this report is dedicated to advancing the reflectionof the concepts of cultural democracy, participatory art and community art. Analyzingand trying to understand how different approaches to cultural activity can determine apath towards easier access to culture, relating directly through artistic. The examplesadvanced in this document try to demonstrate how Jazz ao Centro Clube contributes tocultural, artistic and social activity in the regional panorama of Coimbra, directly relatingto the concepts advanced by the proposed theoretical reflections, with emphasis on theproject Fora dos Eixos: Práticas Artísticas de Proximidade. |
