Resumo:Improving sporting performance is a central objective for athletes in all of sports, as it involves maximizing their individual or collective potential to achieve the best possible results in competitions. Volleyball is a dynamic sport that requires athletes to have technical skills, explosive strength, jumps, landings, agility and endurance. Eccentric loading involves the contraction of muscles while they stretch, a process that is crucial for actions such as jumping, running, changing direction and landing after a jump. Therefore, in volleyball, eccentric loading plays a fundamental role in improving athletic performance and preventing injuries. Nordic exercise, also known as eccentric strength training of the hamstring muscles, stands out as an effective practice for improving performance, reducing the risk of injury and promoting the general health of top athletes. This form of exercise is especially valued in the sports context due to its positive impacts.
