Strategic success: an approach via KPIs, dashboards, and information systems
| Resumo: | As part of the Master’s in Management program at the University of Aveiro, this report aims to present the curricular internship developed at Outglocal Consulting. This internship report also leverages the same practical context to investigate the role of Performance Indicators in promoting Strategic Success, specifically in managing the processes associated with the ATIVAR.PT program by IEFP and in fulfilling all obligations related to its implementation. Therefore, the primary goal of this report is to define "Strategic Success" and describe the process of identifying Performance Indicators to better analyze their role and impact on the strategic success of managing these processes within the ATIVAR.PT program. In the current business environment, valuable information is a key driver of strategic decision-making and success. The use of tools that provide relevant information for more informed, data-driven decisions can be critical for long-term success. To address these needs, a Dashboard and a Information System proposals were developed, both based on the identified Performance Indicators: Return on Investment (ROI), Profit Margin, Average Time per Stage, Submission Rate of Applications, Approval Rate of Applications, Rejection Rate of Applications, Achievement of Milestones per Project, Hours Allocated per Application, Number of Support Calls, and Average Resolution Time. Dashboard and Information System proposals were also drawn up based on the collection of Key Performance Indicators associated with the same task. The research methodologies adopted were the Goal Question Metric and Design Science Research methods. |
