| dc.description.none.fl_str_mv | Today, through the substantial change in the labor market, the temporal relationship with the house/housing has changed radically. We move from one home to other several times throughout our lives and to different geographic locations. In addition, the revolution in information technology and communication technology that has occurred in our lives has altered our own physical relationship with the space in which we live. Today the house is no longer a destination, it is a turntable of scheduled times and disparate activities. Including professional activities. For that purpose, the space of housing can, with advantages, be the alternative to carry out a work, assuming that it will be adapted to other functions and systems, to the use of the internet and the telework. These realities imply new challenges in housing design. New housing typologies, which also include spaces for working, will be necessary. Typologies that are not limited to adding a fourth room to the work function, but which create a space segment with autonomy, polyvalent, adaptable and perhaps as important as the above, with possibilities of promoting brandings and exposing logos to the exterior of buildings, or products. Architecture is committed to create a fresh look at a model of home/housing that responds to these new changes. New revolutions in architecture can be guessed. New spaces, new functions, new constructive technologies, new equipment, will certainly bring new architectural languages. The paradigm of a housing adapted to working activities, will have to reinvent the dynamics of the body in the definition and invention of space - and especially of the architectural space. We cannot fight against the machines and we cannot prevent their development, and it is certain that automation and artificial intelligence will make obsolete the paradigms of work, at least in the Western world. But does it mean that man will be progressively marginalized? |
