Bem-estar e morte: temas chave para a promoção da Geodiversidade
| Resumo: | Ignorance about the close relationships between geodiversity, life, well-being, and death became a problem given the environmental changes, the exponential population growth and exploitation of natural resources. It is necessary to make society aware of the importance of good management of the range of geosystem services that benefit humanity, just as the conservation of the natural resources and processes that produce these recourses. Facing a scenario where learning Geosciences is unattractive and sometimes poorly explored in school curricula and the lack of didactic resources of an interdisciplinary nature in Natural Sciences, especially about themes related to the role of geodiversity in the context of ecosystem services. The Big Ideas, developed under the Earth Science Literacy Initiative (ESLI), can be an essential framework to be followed in the teaching and popularization processes. |
