Deslocação local, cliticização e spell-out cíclico
| Resumo: | This paper examines the intricate pattern of clitic placement in European Portuguese and argues in favour of an approach that relies on two key ideas that have recently been explored in the framework of generative grammar: the idea that Spell Out is cyclic, at the Phase level (Chomsky 2000), and the idea that there are movement operations that occur after the syntactic derivation, in the PF component, post Vocabulary Insertion/linearization, as in the model of Distributed Morphology (Embick/Noyer 2001). |
