Relatório de estágio realizado na Câmara Municipal de Sintra
| Resumo: | In the scope of the Master's Degree in Public Law at NOVA School of Law, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a 5-month internship at the Department of Management and Territory of the Sintra Municipality took place from August 17, 2020 to January 15, 2021. The internship had as main objectives: the conclusion of the Master in Public Law, to know the reality of the functioning of a Municipality Department, namely the Department of Management and Territory, to perceive how the legal provisions and the different legal documents that exist in the Portuguese legal system on matters of management and territorial planning are applied in practice and also to acquire professional experience for a better future integration in the work market. This report addresses some of the theoretical and practical knowledge that was acquired during the internship and which was applied and developed in the practical activities carried out, i) an assessment issued following the refusal of a financial institution to activate an autonomous bank guarantee on first demand, in the scope of a request submitted by the Sintra Municipality, in order to proceed with the conclusion of urbanization works ii) an assessment regarding the deadlines and procedures related to the procedure of prior communication, iii) an assessment on an autonomous bank guarantee and consequent deadlines and rights that arise from this for the parties involved and iv) collaboration in the review of some concepts of the Municipal Regulation of Urbanization and Building of Sintra (RMUES). It is also important to mention that the report will be divided into five parts: a brief introduction to the report, its structure and methodology, a second part, which is based on the framework of the host institution and its position in Administrative Law, a third part is a theoretical framework on the activities and procedures that were followed during the internship, a fourth part will address the practical activities developed throughout the internship and finally final considerations will be made. |
