Ver documento

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This research aims at advancing the theoretical knowledge of the attitude-behavior gap through a case study on the intermodal transport competition between rail and air travel on the Rome – Milan route. Primary quantitative data analysis has been used as a tool to provide actionable strategic suggestions to HSR companies competing on the Italian market, such as targeted marketing campaigns and intermodal synergies. The focus is on the internal factors that cause behaviors in consumers and the statistical analyses support the link between sustainable attitudes and sustainable behaviors. The results are relevant for both theory and practice and constitute a novel application of VBN and TPB theory to the Italian travel and transportation industry.
