Planing for succession at hidroconcep- a family owned business

Resumo:The following Work Project has the purpose of advising the Simões family to plan for the future. It introduces the family and the family business Hidro concep. Academia suggests that only 50% of family business are successfully transferred to the 2ndgeneration. Committed to ensure Hidro concep’s effective succession to the next generation a draft of a Succession Plan will be elaborated taking into account the inputs from the literature review and qualitative data collected from the family members. After presenting and discussing the first draft a revised version of the Succession Plan will be elaborated considering the recommendations of the members involved.
