Is there a gender gap in national Cardiology research?

Resumo:	gA ender gap is apparent in several professional areas, including in Medicine and particularly in the Cardiovascular field. We present a brief review of the subject and we analyse data from the Portuguese Journal of Cardiology regarding women authorship.
