Beyond the image: the role of text in shaping meme engagement reddit
| Resumo: | The study explores how textual elements in memes and titles influence engagement on Reddit. Using OCR, NLP, and sentiment analysis, it examines text presence, length, and sentiment to assess their impact on score, comments, and awards. Posts from r/memes are analyzed through regression models and machine learning techniques to identify key textual drivers of meme virality. Findings offer insights into how linguistic features shape engagement, providing a framework for understanding text’s role in meme success. This research aids content creators and marketers in optimizing engagement strategies by leveraging textual components in meme design. |
