The dispense of hospital medication in community pharmacies: the search for a pareto-efficient state

Resumo:We test the hypothesis that a change of the provide rof hospital medication to patients/caregivers, from public health entities to community pharmacies, where the former reimburses the latter for its provision, is Pareto-efficient for all agents involved. We analyse data fromtheprogramFarma2Care.1In sum, we fail to reject the hypothesis. Howbeit, setting this payment without subsidization from the NH Simplies great is kendured by public providers, adjacent to uncertainty on their conservative, generated savings. Assessing this change implies a trade-off between maximizing the number of agreements reached while minimizing such risk.
