Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The objective of this dissertation is to try to understand the operation and regulation in banking institutions. To this end, an analysis is made of two major financial systems, namely the European and the United States of America. The concept of bank liquidity and the importance of its regulation are analyzed, especially after the onset of international financial crises, as it was the case of the 2007 financial crisis. However, this dissertation also makes a study of the evolution of the European and American financial system and analyzes, in these two major systems, the dynamics and regulation of the reserve concept and other aspects that characterize it, its origins and the respective evolution. In addition, the successive legislative and executive reforms, and the repercussions, that they had in the national and international sphere, are also discussed, through the analysis of the different legal regimes.
