Resumo:The buried penis is an unusual anomaly, whose etiology is not fully understood. The fascia Dartos is not developed to its normal elastic configuration that would allow the free sliding of the skin over the deeper layers of the penis. These non-elastic fibers retract the extension of the penis, which has an appropriate length. Other conditions that promote the hidden penis: deficit of penile skin, abnormal adhesion of the tunica albuginea to the Buck fascia, excessive pre-pubic fat. Among complications associated we found recurrent balanitis. The Paediatricians must diagnose and guide early. It is a benign disease and the surgery is justified, with excellent outcome, immediate results and few complications.
