Contando histórias : a xilogravura de Zoravia Bettiol
| Resumo: | This text analyzes narrative aspects in the woodcut of Zoravia Bettiol (Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil, 1935). Articulated from meganarratives, such as mythology, literature and biblical narratives, as well as personal and memorial narratives, in each case the artist chooses a particular way of expressing herself. If Arnold Hauser (1972) shows us the possible formal models for his narratives, it is, however, in Jacques Aumont (1993) that we find the relation between saying (verbal) and (mimetic) by “show”, which characterizes the work of the artist |
