Avaliação crítica do crescimento urbano de Torres Vedras desde a sua génese à atualidade - Integração com a estrutura ecológica

Resumo:The evolution of a local history, since the most ancient times, without detailed information, to the nowadays is too important to understand a specific space. Tows are too a point of a deep mutation over time. Last two centuries brought really bad environmental and ecological problems, by decisions made to grow up some cities, without demographic or administrative needs. In 20th century, Portugal had been many of these urban phenomenal problems. Actually, it needs to thinking, analyzing and proposing different ways, to respect ecological sensibility spaces, necessary to a correct operation and ecosystem sustainability. See the landscape and territory as a one field and integrated system, with spaces to urbanize and construct buildings, and the respect for the ecological components permanency, protection and integration with its appropriate function and uses. In that way, Torres Vedras historical evolution and its integration to a fundamental ecological structure was analyzed, to understand if the territorial decisions have made in many story steps were in or out the respect to landscape values. By the analysis, with a geographic information system, it show the most urban area expansion was in 20th century, the same time it introduced many troubles to fundamental landscape components, as wet systems and big ecological value soils. This analysis guide to a thoughts about future proposals, trying to improve the cultural and biophysical relationship and a sustainability promotion
