Resumo:Developed in partnership with Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML), the following dissertation reflects the project and development of the study on Lisbon’s “Unidades de Desenvolvimento e Intervenção de Proximidade” (UDIP), focused on the improvement and optimisation of SCML's Proximity Social Intervention Services' user experience. The project emerges from the consolidation of the new recently governance model adopted by SCML - Integrated Governance - which seeks to address and respond to the most important social problems posed nowadays. To this end, this thesis presents a theoretical-practical project for which it developed a Evolutionary Optimal Space Model based on the design thinking methodology as an approach the questions at hand. The study's cornerstone has been set by assuming a design perspective from its starting point - both on what concerns how the (social) world is perceived, as well as how itself can be employed on the resolution of complex social issues, thus contributing for social innovation
