Resumo:With the continuous economic, technological and social expansion that exists in today’s world, mass production as well as the production of obsolete objects reigns. With the consumer’s need to exalt new experiences, it becomes imperative for design to be a driving force behind this creation of value. Objects and material culture are more and more present in the daily life of the human being and this bring, with this, there is a need to find meaning in the same way as the products and to search for new interactions and new experiences. This way, it is important to create value through the interaction and the experiences provided, focusing permanently on what are the real human needs. Design as philosophy and activity manages to hold a fairly high social power. With the pronounced presence of social stigmas these days, it becomes crucial for design to drive this inclusion. Design is a topic, in my opinion, necessarily inclusive that should increasingly be thought of for that purpose. A tool that must be applied according to inclusive and universal approaches. These thoughts, together with the complexity of visual impairment, in which this dissertation focuses, aim to understand the characteristics, conditioning and capacities that this type of users, the visually impaired, have. This approach consolidates the inclusion and universality of design as well as user-centered principles. For this, it is relevant to understand the needs and concerns of this target audience. Like all human beings, this group is not the exception, and due to the absence of a relevant sense, it becomes crucial to realize how they interact and experience not only objects, but also the environment that surrounds them. This study seeks to understand what day to day practices represent a barrier, and to create products that are intuitive and accessible to people with visual impairment. These objects allow a natural interaction, seeing they are not exclusively for this type of people. This research came up with the design of several kitchenware, since the act of cooking supports a basic need, it is important to understand how this activity can be performed in a more independent, natural and safe way
