Summary:This article presents a thematic analysis of the journalistic series Argon (Netflix, 2017) and Netflix (HBO, 2012). Both television series relate the routine in a television newscast. The objective of this investigation is to describe the image of the television journalist. The investigation concludes that the series propose an ethical attitude in the way of elaborating the information for the spectators. Both series criticize some aspects of current journalism and promote the stereotype of the journalist as a watchdog recognizing through the characters, the need for informative quality
