Poesía de poetas latinos actuales
| Resumo: | Classics teachers don’t pay much attention to Neo-Latin texts and even less to contemporary authors writing in Latin. However, it is possible to come across several texts, both in the web and in print. In this article, we have selected and commented on some Latin poems by five modern authors who write verse following ancient metre but with an updated spirit. They are Florindo Di Monaco, Alain Van Dievoet, Gerd Allesch, Brad Walton and John Lee. We have attempted to show that these works are worthy of attention. In the conclusion, we have pointed out some of the merits of both these poetic works are their authors. |
