Subjects and concepts in the theories of social stratification

Resumo:Following to a previous article concerning the social class theory, the author tries, in the present article, to evaluate another conceptual framework, usually called "stratification". He presents here some theoretical propositions with many variations making possible the learning of social structures and processi in order to explain the social practices and the characterization of the respective protagonist. The critical perspective chosen by the author tries to articulate the theoretical statements concerning the "stratification" and its empirical results. The author also remarks that the pertinence of a theory must be evaluated mainly according to the fecondity it reveals in the production of knowledge as to the reality.
