Portuguese parliament and the democratic consolidation
| Resumo: | The author assumes that one of the aims towards which the action of the social actors within the democratic transition process is directed, is that of the strengthening of the democratic consolidation mechanisms. In this text, the author attempts to analyse the role played by Assembleia da República in the Portuguese democratic consolidation, with regard to the regime legitimation, the system party structuralization, the search for consensus and for peaceful, ritualized solutions of conflicts. |
