O painel da Circuncisão do acervo da diocese do Porto: : considerações histórico-técnicas

Ver documento

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The Circumcision panel currently forms part of the cultural heritage collection of the Diocese of Porto. However, its background is somewhat unclear, as its provenance and the context of its entry into the institution are not known. The conservation and restoration intervention to which it is subjected, developed at the conservation and restoration workshops of the Catholic University of Porto, has enabled a more detailed analysis of the panel. In this sense, the present article seeks to explore the type of altarpiece in which it would be inserted, the uniqueness of the represented theme, as well as the technical aspects related to its construction. It also aims to reflect on the contexts that precede its integration into the collection of the Diocese of Porto. DOIhttps://doi.org/10.21747/2182-9748/cem19a5
