Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:Michel/Miguel Perrin, French sculptor specialised in massive terracotta statues, developed most of his professional career in Seville between 1517 and 1552. The present paper brings up to date his historiography, just as it investigates his contribution to spreading early Renaissance models in Seville, at the time a cosmopolitan, avant-garde commercial city and port. It also studies the visual culture, technical determining factors and patterns present in his works, by setting them in the context of contemporary foreign artists who played a significant role in spreading Italian humanistic models.
