The Relocation of Companies: situation in the EU between 2002 and 2011
| Resumo: | The process of delocalization analyzed in the light of general knowledge is based on common assumptions as the demand for cost reduction, the reduction of the cost of hand labor is the main reason disclosed. The search by firms for better production conditions do not always support or even on economic grounds alone.The supply of new markets and open borders in the European Union (EU), added new variables to the decision of delocalization.The EU between 2002 and 2011 underwent considerable changes in corporate structure, or abandonment of this territory by some companies, or by geographical changes triggered in this period. Thus, the reasons motivating this corporate movement are also determined by geographical and political events. The decision of the companies for relocation has become a more complex process, given the difficulty of analyzing all the factors involved in this process. |
