Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This internship report focuses on the present subjunctive and the suffixes -ite and -ista, providing not only theoretical background information on the topics, but also a description of the presentation of these contents in Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL), during the teaching of the topic Services and Health, in the subject Structures of the Portuguese Language (SPL) to a B1 level class. The teaching of these topics is based on their importance in everyday life, since the present subjunctive is typically used to express actions or states that are uncertain, hypothetical, desired or dependent on other conditions. The suffixes -ite and -ista, on the other hand, have the crucial function of expanding the students' specific vocabulary in areas related to Health Services. It should be borne in mind that the pedagogical internship didn't involve any research into aspects of learning, i.e. there was no study of which deviations were most common in each student, depending on their Mother Tongue, for example. This internship report therefore only reflects the research carried out into the topics taught during the internship and the experience gained from teaching them to the B1 level class mentioned above. The following report is divided into two parts. The first part, dedicated to the Theoretical Framework, is developed reflecting the research carried out regarding the present subjunctive, addressing issues related to modality, temporality and the research about word formation by derivation, highlighting the suffixes -ite and -ista. The second part deals with two main aspects: the general contextualization of the pedagogical internship carried out during the 2023/2024 academic year at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra (FLUC) and the description of the intern's experience in fulfilling the various parameters of the Individual Training Plan (ITP) within the scope of the Initiation to the Pedagogical Professional Practice of the 2º Cycle in Portuguese as Foreign Language and Second Language (PFLSL). This section also includes the description of the teaching of the classes where the above-mentioned topics were introduced, accompanied by the instructional materials created and used by the intern.
