Os sem-abrigo e a sua relação com a cidade da Figueira da Foz
| Resumo: | Under the master's degree in sociology at the Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Combra, the work that is presented is the result of an internship course held at the Divisão de Educação e Assuntos Sociais da Câmara Municipal da Figueira da Foz. The central objective of this internship is the acquisition of new knowledge and skills in a work context through the performance of activities relevant to the consolidation of knowledge in an academic context.The subject of this study refers to the homeless population and their relationship with the city of Figueira da Foz. For this analysis was used the theoretical approach of urban sociology by Robert Ezra Park and the geographical perspective of Djémila Zeneidi-Henry about the homeless in the city. At the same time, a european, regional and national framework on the problem of homelessness. From the methodological point of view, a quantitative analysis was developed through the indirect application of surveys and a qualitative analysis using ethnographic research.The results show that the relationship between the phenomenon of the homeless and the need for centrality of the urban space exist as a survival strategy. In addition, it is well known that the assumptions of the National Strategy for the Integration of the Homeless are worked locally through the planning and intervention nucleus to the Figueira da Foz homeless. With this research was intended to elaborate the Local Diagnosis on the phenomenon of homeless people in Figueira da Foz and to complement this information with a territorial analysis of this problematic taking into consideration some geographical features of the city. The purpose of this study is to constitute a work base from the elaboration of a plan of action with a view to reduce, erradicate or frame this social problem. |
