Investigação e inovação em TIC aplicadas à educação nas comunidades educativas de Portugal: O papel das Universidades

Resumo:Nowadays, Communication Technologies (CT) are being used in several educational contexts to a greater extent. Nevertheless, the work developed in this research field, in Portugal, is too scattered. This way, a research project was drawn, aiming at characterizing the Portuguese Higher Education Institutions (HEI) as to the adoption and use of CT. Consequently, the idea is to conceive and implement a digital tool – the Mapping Tool –, which will enable the description of the state of theart regarding the use of CT by HEI, as well as to update the data itself. In this study, the results of a preliminary study developed by two of the project team members are analysed, especially as to i) the geographical distribution of the Portuguese HEI, ii) the adoption of an eLearning platform for educational purposes at the institutional level; ii) the offer of course degrees in bLearning and/or eLearning.
