Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The action model presented is based on the activities of the National Preparatory School (ENP, UNAM). The model considers two phases. The first includes extracurricular activities and the second curricular ones, specifically developed in the classroom. For the first phase, the model starts with the calculation of the ecological footprint by students. Generally, the ecological footprint is an indicator of the environmental impact caused by human needs on the planet’s ecosystems, relating to the Earth’s ability to regenerate the resources being used. There are different versions of the ecological footprint, so we present a brief analysis of some ecological footprints considered appropriate to our context with adaptations and / or modifications. Based on our experience, we can argue that each version of ecological footprint has an intentionality that reflects the proposer’s philosophy concerning sustainability and that, depending on the educational context in which it is applied, one can be considered more or less appropriate than the other. The second stage is reflexive; this occurs based on the analysis and discussion of the results of the ecological footprint. The Action, or third stage, emerges from the activities eligible to be performed on the individual and the collective levels to reduce the statistics obtained in the ecological footprint. Results emerging from the implementation of an ecological footprint made, based on spreadsheets, are presented.
