Resumo:With the implementation of Ordinance No. 133/98 (currently, Ordinance No. 110/2002), which establishes the schools of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education as Full-Time Schools (FTS), whose objective was to meet the basic educational needs and contribute for the integral formation of the children, there was a reorganization of the educational system in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ARM). One of the changes made was the integration of curriculum enrichment activities in the 1st Cycle, and the preschool integrated in these schools started to benefit from the same proposals, known as activities of educational complement. This article intends to analyse the process of integration and articulation of activities of educational complement in the narrative of curriculum management, understood as a flexible action plan, by the Childhood Educator. This qualitative research was carried out by a group of Childhood Educators from different schools of ARM. For the collection and analysis of data we used the technique of structured interview and content analysis. It is concluded that the activities of educational complement consolidate the learning of children, occurring a link between these and the curriculum assumed as a domain of autonomy built by the Childhood Educator.
