A Presença da Família Durante a Reanimação do Doente no Pré-Hospitalar e na Sala de Emergência: Uma Revisão Integrativa
| Resumo: | Family Presence During Resuscitation of the Patient in Pre-Hospital and in the Emergency Room: An Integrative Review Family presence during resuscitation of a patient in critical condition is a controversial topic in pre-hospital emergency and emergency room teams. The goal of this integrative literature review, based on the PICO strategy, is to evaluate the effects of family presence on both the family members and the emergency teams. The results of the seven analysed studies mostly point to benefits for family presence during pre-hospital and emergency room resuscitation. But there are also some potential negative aspects, and so, in order to overcome these problems, it is necessary to develop proper procedures by designating, in particular, a team member to accompany, support and instruct the family. |
