Cultural mediation as a subjective city
| Summary: | Perceived and designed as a means of acting on the relationship with art, the practices of cultural mediation designate a set of techniques which act on subjectivity. They do this by justifying themselves with contrasting ideologies. Should they continue to be applied as biopolitical techniques for shaping subjectivity or can they be invented as so many ways of drawing subjectivity into a more spontaneous, more vital, in a word more existential, relationship to art and to herself? It is in the light of such a question that an ethics of mediation certainly seeks to (re)formulate itself. |
