Prática baseada na evidência nos cuidados ao cordão umbilical do recém nascido

Resumo:Introdution:The umbilical stump is a place contuctiveto colonization batteries and can cause infections with high risk of life fo the newborm. The existence of a wide diversity of practice in the care of the umbilical stump of the newborm, which triggers questions about the practice to adopt. Objectve:This research aimed to identify the best nursing practices for the care of the umbilical cord of the newborm. Methods: Sistematic review of the literature according to PICO methodology A total of 67 articles found of the Web of science platafform were included 10 articles for final analysis ccording to estabilshed inclusion criteria.Appllied Oxford Centre Scale for Evidence-Based Medicine to access the methodological quality of the studies The selection of the studies and date extraction was performed independently by two reviewers. Results: Found scientific evidence was of the high quality. The average time of fall of the cords was significantly lower in the dray group compard with the use of solutes. The day care techique reduce the risk of infection wen compared to the application of solutes, however, in the developing countries where the incidence of neonatale infection rate is higt, it is appropriate to choose to apply antiseptic.Coclusions: In the development countries such as a Portugal,it is suggested to implement in clinical practice of nursing interventions the use of the dray care technique in order to reduce the fall time and the risk of the infection in the care of the umbilical stump newborm.
