Resumo:Salmonella is an importante foodborne pathogen and one of the most significant causes of bacterial gastroenteritis around the world (1). Its transmission occurs through the ingestion of contaminated fruits, vegetables or aromatic plants. Many studies have described a relation between Salmonela transmission and the consumption of aromatic herbs, like Mentha x piperita L. (2].
