Resumo:This Master’s thesis is a result of an extremely enriching learning process; a year full of hard work, ups and downs, moments of joy and doubts. This dissertation is the final milestone of an important era of my life, my Master’s studies in Human Resources Management at ISCTE that gave me so much; both professionally and personally. Foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisor; Elsa Dinis who intellectually supported my work and emotionally motivated me through this period. I would like to extend my special thanks to Professor Maria Gabriela Silva who helped me a lot with the statistical analysis even though she was not my official co-supervisor. Hereby I would like to express my love and sincere gratitude to my amazing parents who have always supported me in all my dreams and aspirations. Without them, I could have never made it so far. Furthermore, my special thanks go to my fellow HR students who were always there for me in the distance in case of any doubts. I am very happy and proud to be part of such a supportive community. Last but not least, I would like to thank my boyfriend and my close friends who supported and encouraged me in this challenging period of my academic life.
