The influence of doctors' psychological capital and doctor-patient communication on the doctor-patient relationship: An empirical study in Guangzhou, China
| Resumo: | Previous studies have found that there are many reasons for the disharmony of the doctor-patient relationship in China, including the factors of both doctors and patients, government factors, industry factors, social factors, etc. However, the impact of doctors' psychological capital and doctor-patient communication on doctor-patient relationship is the focus of this study. This study investigated the level of doctors' psychological capital, how doctors' psychological capital affects doctor-patient communication, and how doctors' psychological capital and doctor-patient communication affect doctor-patient relationship. A questionnaire was collected and analyzed among 346 doctors working in 30 medical institutions in Guangzhou. The results showed that doctors' psychological capital and its dimensions had a positive predictive effect on doctor-patient communication and a positive impact on doctor-patient relationship. The results of this study will help to provide inspiration for hospital managers to improve the hospital management model and formulate health policies. |
