Focusing on mental health, the study seeks to recognize social determinants in mental health, following a methodological path that begins by the theoretical statement, based on books, articles and official documents. Recognizing the complexity of the diversities that have reached the world population, after knowing the subject with more depth, a systematic review was followed, by selecting articles published on the SciELO platform. The criteria for inclusion were articles published in the last two decades (giving prevalence to the period from 2019 to 2021) that dealt with mental health. The criteria of exclusion were publications prior to the 2000s, themes that did not refer to mental health and the subject was not restricted to the national order. It was found that social determinants are interfering with the quality of life of patients and their families, the urgency of preventive and curative measures on the part of public policies. |
