Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This paper focus and analyzes the the history of the project of the portuguese bullarium of the 13th century, evoking the memory of the Professor Doctor Canon Avelino de Jesus da Costa and witnessing his commitment to this undertaking. We intend to evaluate the interest of this publication among Portuguese scholars, as well as draw attention to the many and diverse fields of medieval Portuguese society to which the pontifical documents can also provide information. And, bearing in mind the work of Peter Linehan, Portugalia Pontificia: materials for the history of Portugal and the papacy, 1198-1417 (2 vols., Lisbon, 2013), we question the “presumed” continuity of the Medieval Portuguese Bullarium: Bulário Português. Inocêncio III (1198-1216) (Coimbra, 1989).
