Resumo:The best way to pay homage to a writer is to read his works; thus, the point of departure for this article is an analytical reading of some of Óscar Lopes' texts on deixis and on poetry and attempts to make clear the way in which, in these texts, these two themes are implicitly and productively articulted and contaminated by each other. In order to develop some aspects of a possible association between deixis and poetry this article is centred on an analysis of Eugénio de Andrades poetry, and attempts to emphasize its showing, ostensive-deictic character.
