A casa islâmica como linguagem do ser - (des)continuidades
| Resumo: | The purpose of this dissertation is an attempt to approach the islamic housing. It is considered appropriate to examine this architecture so close but at the same time so far away from us. Thus, the research focuses on traditional and contemporary islamic houses, culminating in a demand for (dis)continuities. The study centers around typological issues of the house and aims to understand how this language refects Mankind. For this it is necessary to analyse the physical and ideological fabric in which these homes are located. Concerning the traditional house, one seeks to absorb the common characteristics spanning diferent times and lands of Islam. As a paradigm of the contemporary home, one resorts to the housing projects awarded by the notable Aga Khan award for architecture, taking into account the categories of private residences and housing complexes. |
