SiGeFA – A Student Frequency Management System

View document

Bibliographic Details
Summary:An effective monitoring solution of student attendance in the classroom is a challenge that teachers, parents and educators face passively in the secondary schools of Mozambique. This paper introduces the implementation of A Student Frequency Management System (SiGeFA) prototype composed by a mobile application, a web application and a backend application, which aims to monitor the attendance of students in the classroom. Through the mobile application teachers can manage the attendance of students, registering the student’s absences and notifying automatically the parents and educators regarding the non-attendance of their own sons/daughters in the classes. The evaluation of the first prototype puts in evidence the acceptance of SiGeFA by teachers and students in a Mozambique school.
