Performance assessment of an enhanced object-oriented approach for wrapping stored procedures
| Resumo: | Object-oriented is the most successful programming paradigm. Relational database management systems are the most successful data storage components. In spite of their success and their tight binding, they always had different points of view on data and applications. They are not integrated, fostering some difficulties when applications and data storage components must collaborate. A platform based on wrappers has been proposed as a component interface between stored procedures and a user application. A maintainability assessment has also been carried into effect. This paper aims to disclose the performance assessment results for the same platform. |
