ROUBO EPISTÉMICO E A EXPROPRIAÇÃO DA FILOSOFIA AFRICANA PELO OCIDENTE: Notas sobre a crise do pensamento crítico contemporâneo
| Resumo: | Very well, the epistemic theft and the expropriation of African philosophy is a critique of Western thought and a reflective reminder that it should never happen again in the history of the African continent. It should be noted that this article proposes the respect and inescapable consideration of African knowledge as a legitimate form of thought. It is argued that the denial of Africa as an epistemic subject has produced a crisis in contemporary critical thought, which, even when it claims to be challenging, remains tied to Eurocentric paradigms that have silenced other forms of rationality, which Boaventura de Sousa Santos (Portuguese sociologist) called Epistemologies of the South. The article is based on the great giants of modern African knowledge; Cheikh Anta Diop, Kwasi Wiredu, Valentin Mudimbe and Mogobe Ramose, therefore, the text is an epistemic turn that restores the autonomy of African philosophy, shifting the centers of cognitive authority and paving the way for the radical decolonization of philosophical knowledge. |
